Digital Mural Authoring and Performance

Sensors enabled the public to interact with the web-authored murals through body movements being dynamically mapped to concepts. My role was extracting documenting needs and use cases from the proposal & team, then implementing (developing) them over a 4 month period.

The 2012-13 interactive digital mural project created a prototype e-learning experience at the Los Angeles State Historic Park (LASHP) and Lincoln High through the development of an interactive mural. This public space installation and authoring tool was part education, part activism, and part urban planning.

Authoring UI has gone on to service 3 other research projects.

Tools: Python, HTML/JS/CSS3, MYSQL, PHP, Touch Designer

Funded through an NSF EAGER grant from the Cyberlearning program.
